There are a number of trips you can adventure too, from half-day safari, full-day safari & beach safari. Beach safari is unique as a certain time of year we have the world-famous turtle hatching event and Whale watching off the coast of Mission Rocks and & Cape Vidal All our trips to iSimangaliso Wetland Park begin early in the morning & evening as this is the best time to capture nocturnal wildlife that is retreating back to their habitats like Hyena, Leopard, Rhino & Wild Dogs.
Along the adventure, you will see a lot of Zebra and Nyala which always provide an iconic photographic opportunity. As we move through the game park you will notice the grass plains and hides (a hide is a camouflaged viewing deck) which provides great sightings of Buffalo, Wildebeest & Warthogs.
Cape Vidal offers sheltered beaches, rock pools, sand dunes & ledges surrounded by the iSimangaliso Wetland Park and the coastal forest. Cape Vidal is the best opportunity for sighting marine life at low tide while snorkelling in the shoreline. The beach is a launch site for deep-sea fishing activities, spearfishing, and ski boats.
Snorkelers can keep a lookout for the remains of the ship called Dorothea which was lost in these waters in 1898 - though this wreck has never been found it still attracts international visitors to claim its prize. The fishing opportunity is spectacular with shore fishing and saltwater fly fishing. During the winter months, this becomes a go-to destination as the world-famous Whale watching takes place and later through the year hosts a world ecological event of the turtle hatchings.
Cape Vidal has beautiful picnic spots for the whole family to be entertained with the amenities and facilities to accommodate.
